Baku on August 1 reported that its positions came under Armenian fire in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan exclave.
The Defence Ministry reported that at 03:35 (GMT+4), Armenian armed forces’ units from the positions near the Arazdeyen village of the Vedi region using small arms fired at Azerbaijani Army positions in the direction of the Heydarabad settlement of Nakhchivan’s Sadarak region.
The ministry reported that the Azerbaijani forces suffered no losses, adding that the Armenian attack has been suppressed in the response fire and that the operational situation is under Azerbaijan’s control.
