Azerbaijan has administered over three million vaccine shots in the nationwide vaccination process that started on January 18.
Оverall, 3,032,516 vaccine dozes have been administered as of June 22.
Some 1,971,930 people were vaccinated in the first stage, while 1,060,586 people received vaccine shots in the second stage.
Some 42,843 vaccine jabs were administered in the country on June 22.
It’s noteworthy that Azerbaijan is the leader for the number of vaccinated citizens in the South Caucasus and the Central Asia regions.
Azerbaijan started vaccinating citizens using China’s Sinovac on January 18, Vaxzevria vaccine produced by AstraZeneca on May 3, Russia’s Sputnik V on May 18 and US-produced Pfizer on June 7. The country started offering COVID-19 vaccination to citizens aged over 18 from May 10.
As of June 22, Azerbaijan has registered 335,568 coronavirus cases and 4,963 COVID-19 fatalities.
