Azerbaijani Air Forces participated in the “Anatolian Eagle – 2021” international drills held in Turkey’s Konya city from June 22 to July 3, the defence ministry reported today.
The two MiG-29 fighters and two Su-25 attack aircraft of the Azerbaijan Air Force took part in the drills.
The Anatolian Eagle – 2021 international flight and tactical drills were held with the participation of Azerbaijan, Qatar, Pakistan, and NATO troops.
The drills are part of the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey that were cemented after the signing of the Shusha Declaration on allied relations on June 15.
On June 28, Azerbaijan and Turkey also started joint fire-exercises in Baku with the involvement of 600 troops.
Another joint drills were held in Nakhchivan on June 21-23 between the Nakhchivan garrison troops and the Turkish armed forces.
