Azerbaijani neurologist Ruslan Manashirov is among the victims of condominium collapse in Florida last month.

Manashirov’s body was recovered from under the rubbles of the Champlain Towers South building in Surfside, Miami on July 7.

Seventy-nine people have been identified dead in the collapse and bodies of 53 victims have been found so far.

Manashirov’s wife Nicole Doran-Manashirova’s remains have not yet been found at the site, where workers continue to sift through the massive amounts of debris.

Ruslan Manashirov (36) was a neurologist and a family practice doctor who had moved to the United States where he married Nicole Doran, a physician’s assistant.

The couple got married recently and moved to the condo in April. Their wedding had been postponed three times due to the pandemic.

Doran-Manashirova and her husband first met casually at a clinic where they were working in 2018, according to the narrative of the couple’s friend Wendy Kays. Two years later, when they were no longer in relationships, they met up again and fell in love, Kays said.

“She called him “Baby Baku”…  He just enveloped you with his personality,” said Susan DeRisi, a Realtor and friend of the couple.

“He came into the group and it was like he belonged.”
