Azerbaijan recorded 40 new COVID-19 cases and one coronavirus-related death on June 27, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers reported today.
The number of recoveries reached 58 today, thus exceeding the number of new cases.
As of June 27, Azerbaijan, the nation of ten million people, has registered 335,836 COVID-19 patients, of whom 330,084 have recovered.
Some 4,968 people have died of COVID-19 in the country so far. The number of residents being treated for COVID-19 is 784.
It should be noted that over three million Azerbaijani citizens have been vaccinated against COVID-19 since the start of the nationwide vaccination process on June 18.
Azerbaijan on May 31 removed COVID-19 restrictions due to the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases.
