Thirteen members of the Armenian armed group will stand trial in Baku on terror-related charges on July 1.

The group members are accused of committing acts of terror and sabotage against Azerbaijani civilians and military personnel back in December.

The armed men had illegally crossed into the Azerbaijani territory after the signing of the November 10 trilateral statement.

It should be noted that the 13 men do not fall under the category of prisoners of war as they crossed into Azerbaijan after the signing of the peace deal that ended the six-week-war between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Members of the group are Haykaz Hovhannisyan, Varazdat Manukyan, David Stepanyan, Levan Tosunyan, Artur Bagdasaryan, Serop Avakyan, Varazdat Harutyunyan, Jora Manukyan, Hrayr Herabyan, Narek Gosparyan, Grigor Kuregyan, Ashot Gevorkyan, Martin Agramanyan.

A preliminary court hearing on the criminal case of the above-mentioned men was held on June 21, with the next hearings scheduled for June 22 and 29.

The trial of the group members will be held at the Baku Court of Appeal.
