After weeks of drop in the number of coronavirus cases, Azerbaijan on July 7 registered 127 new COVID-19 cases.
The number of recovered patients today was 54, while one COVID-19-related death was registered, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
It should be noted that the number of infection cases was 78 and 62 on July 6 and July 5 respectively.
So far, Azerbaijan, the nation of ten million, has registered 336,684 COVID-19 patients, of whom 330,567 have recovered, and 4,979 people have died.
Currently, 1,138 people are under treatment in special hospitals.
Azerbaijan has also vaccinated 3,910,624 citizens in the nationwide vaccination process that started on January 18.
The government loosened COVID-19 restrictions starting from May 31, lifting the mandate to wear face masks in public places and opening Baku metro. Another stage of lockdown easing entered force on June 10 and implies opening of gyms, recreational centers, beaches, shopping malls and places of worship.
