Fakhranda Hasanzadeh is an Australia-based Azerbaijani who promotes the national cuisine and culture.
She is the founder of Azeri Home Chef society and the Support for Tourism and National Cuisine public union.
In December 2020, Hasanzadeh was awarded Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev gold medal established by Azerbaycanim magazine in Baku.
Presenting her the medal, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Academician Emil Nasirili praised Hasanzadeh for carrying out projects that contribute to the development of domestic tourism, for promoting Azerbaijan’s traditions, cuisine and culture – both domestically and internationally – as well as conveying Azerbaijani realities to the international community through these projects.
According to Nasirli, she is the initiator and organizer of various events in the field of gastronomic tourism.
Speaking about Hasanzadeh’s patriotism, Nasirli reminded that she visited Azerbaijani soldiers on the frontline during the Second Karabakh war in autumn 2020 and took them a variety of home-cooked meals prepared by herself.
“This is a clear example of Fakhranda’s moral support for them,” said Emil Nasirli.
It should be noted that Hasanzadeh also produces luxury artisan brand handmade organic chocolates that are sold in Melbourne, Australia. Her Azeri Chef Home Facebook group, with tends of thousands of followers, brings together Azerbaijani diaspora from across the world.
